Charcoal & Pastel

The creation of Heartache helped me work through a very dark period in my life. Over several months I struggled to work through tears and conflicting emotions. Completion revealed the reality of truth and helped me to heal the wounds in my aching heart. I began to breathe again. Art forces me to explore the vulnerable side of life, including my own. Painful as this project was, the lessons and discoveries I experienced were worth it.
